The Memory Box was born from deep personal loss and an equally profound desire to transform grief into a shared journey of remembrance and hope. Our founder, Kelly, experienced the unimaginable pain of losing her son unexpectedly. The tsunami of emotions that ensued was immense, and she felt the outside world often overlooked the depth of this journey.
In that profound sorrow, a seed of an idea took root and The Memory Box came into existence.
We transform the solitary journey through grief into a shared path of remembrance. Our mission is to provide a supportive hand, one thoughtful gift at a time, through the delicate milestones of the first year of loss.
We will redefine the grieving process, making it a journey filled with heartfelt remembrance and shared resilience. We envision a world where grief is not a solitary path but a shared experience, where every poignant memory can become a comforting beacon of hope and where each loved one’s story continues to be told, cherished, and celebrated.
Whether it’s a wind chime that sings in the breeze, a memorial Christmas plaque near a sparkling tree, or an etched 3D crystal, each item we send is more than a gift—it’s a tangible symbol of remembrance, an empathetic whisper saying, “You are not alone. Your loved one is remembered.”
As we weave these tales of enduring love and shared memory, we also pay homage to Kelly’s son, his favorite color – blue- subtly incorporated into our branding, reminding us of the personal roots of our mission. His story, like those of all the loved ones remembered through our service, is one of light, of love, and of a life lived.
Kelly is a seasoned nurse and healthcare executive who has dedicated her life to caring for others at the most vulnerable points in their lives. Her experience as a leader, critical care nurse, and now a bereaved mother, developed a resilience that created hope in healing after the tragic loss of Darius. The Memory Box was founded on her passion for extending this hope to others and caring for those experiencing the unparalleled pain of grief and loss.
